Isopleths are maps that connect areas of equal value and are used to show different facets of those areas in relation to the rest of the other regions shown. The map above shows the average deposits of non-Sea Salt in the Eastern portion of the U.S. circa 1998. Florida has deposits of around 15 kgs per yr which is relatively the same as New York. This goes for the rest of the areas; isopleths can be used to determine many unknowns in the field of science and that is the value of these maps.
