Similarity Matrices determine how similar two objects are to one another. This map is comparing two different musical pieces and seeing how similar they are by using an algorithm. It is interesting the algorithm part because the line looks like a standard deviation line which accomplishes the same thing by taking two data sets and seeing how similar they are by seeing how much they differ from the standard. Obviously this map has many different applications whether it is in technology or music.
